Robin is a comedian and presenter.
He has just finished hosting and writing a live show for the New Scientist Magazine (presciently about the end of the world) and is a host of the Moth, one of the world’s most popular podcasts, with over 35 million downloads.
He has written and performed on Radio 4’s topical news shows The NowShow and News Jack. He also writes for Vice and has written and performed sketches on Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday Service (radio 6 music), BBC Iplayer and BBC Three. His topical video series ‘News from a Basement’ has had over 700,000 views online and is published by the Independent Newspaper.
His fun and often improvised style has also seen him perform at the Tate Modern, V and A, British Museum and in the Barbican’s ear popping concert hall. He has worked with artists such as Jarvis Cocker, Roy Ayers, Bicep, Peter Blake and Nouvelle Vague and with institutions such as The Royal Shakespeare Company, Sadler’s Wells and Ronnie Scotts.
He’s also popular at weird and wonderful events and has twice compered the main stage at Secret Garden Party and Wilderness, and has even presided over a wedding, marrying artists Deborah Curtis and Gavin Turk. He has worked with over 30 brands including Converse, Coco de Mer, Nike and Google. He’s made 15,000 people have a powder paint fight, sent someone to Space and presented the Shoreditch Paw Pageant – a fashion show for dogs.
